               2017 Fund Drive

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

 Southern Berks Regional EMS is a non-profit charitable corporation providing 24 hour emergency medical services to nine municipalities in Berks County. Last year, we responded to over 5,800 emergency calls, averaging quick response time under seven minutes. 

In addition, because of our crews’ ability to provide life saving services, we qualified for 2017 Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Performance Achievement Award.  This award is given by the American Heart Association to recognize those EMS companies that achieve the highest standards in identifying and treating acute cardiac arrests. Notably this is our third such award.

Donations from the community are critical in helping us purchase the equipment needed to provide these life saving skills. Last year, we were able to purchase two new ambulances, replacing two of older units at a cost of $140,000 each.  We also were able to upgrade our cardiac monitors to a newer and more capable model enabling us to continue our excellent record in cardiac care.  Despite these improvements we still are looking to improve our fleet and equipment again this year. Our organization continues to rely on your donations to help finance our operations.  You can also be assured that 100% of your donation goes directly into our operations.

 THIS ANNUAL FUND DRIVE IS SEPARATE FROM OUR ANNUAL AMBULANCE MEMBERSHIP DRIVE.
